Mayor Chiang of Taipei Endorses Disaster Cluster Seminar

In a significant milestone, the CityNet Secretariat team, led by CEO Jeongkee Kim, and Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an met for the first time at Taipei City Hall on March 19, 2024, to discuss potential collaboration avenues.

Mayor Chiang expressed Taipei’s steadfast support for CityNet initiatives, notably endorsing the CityNet’s upcoming flagship program, the 2024 Disaster Cluster Seminar, slated tentatively for September in Taipei. This partnership will see CityNet join forces with the Taipei Fire Department.

The encounter marks not just a meeting of minds but a fusion of determination and expertise. With Taipei’s membership in CityNet tracing back to 2004, CEO Kim and Mayor Chiang’s union promises innovative strides in fortifying cities against the ever-evolving challenges of the modern era.
