Northeast Asian Mayors Forum in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

]From August 18th to 19th, mayors of six major cities in Northeast Asia will convene to discuss their common challenges, exchange experiences, and forge regional cooperation among their cities in making urban development dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable. CityNet will contribute to the discussions to share its experiences.

 

The topics on the agenda cover experiences of historic cities on sustainable development, redevelopment of old city areas, effective and efficient municipal governance, e-governance, experiences in the management of increasing traffic congestion, reducing carbon emissions and developing a green city, new technologies best suited for cold climate cities and mechanisms of cooperation among Northeast Asian cities.

Participants in the forum will include mayors of major cities in Northeast Asia and other prominent speakers from international organizations such as UN Habitat, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
