ACTIVITY

To strengthen the institutional and technical capabilities of our member cities as well as associate members in their innovative solutions to urban challenges through capacity building programme is one of CityNet’s core mandates. It provides opportunities to CityNet members to nurture an enduring network of urban actors to create sustainable and resilient cities, and better respond to the changing landscape. We engage city leaders and urban stakeholders through localised and customised capacity building activities.

CLUSTER

The Cluster Approach

CITYNET members choose to join one of a number of clusters, or thematic program areas. Program activities are envisioned, designed and implemented with these member-driven clusters in mind. This gives CITYNET activities a sharp focus on members’ needs. Gradually, the planning, initiation and implementation of the activities for each cluster will be handed over to committees formed from among members of that cluster.
