CityNet Secretariat Strengthens Ties with The Singapore Ambassador To Korea

On May 10th, CityNet Secretariat CEO, Mr. Jeong-Kee Kim, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore to meet with the Singapore Ambassador to Korea, Mr. Eric TEO. During the meeting, Mr., Kim highlighted CityNet’s ongoing efforts to enhance international partnerships and collaborations with various cities globally, with a strategic focus on Singapore.

 

 

The CEO noted that, as the most advanced country in Southeast Asia, Singapore offers exemplary urban development models from which many CityNet member cities can benefit.

A key topic of the discussion was the CEO’s request for the Ambassador’s support in establishing connections with the district mayors of Singapore. This initiative aligns with CityNet’s mission to broaden its network and strengthen relationships with cities nationwide. Additionally, CityNet emphasized the importance of hosting a side event during the World Cities Summit and collaborating with the Center for Livable Cities (CLC).

Ambassador TEO expressed his appreciation for CityNet’s visit. The ambassador provided a comprehensive and detailed explanation of Singapore’s administrative structure for expanding the network with the CityNet. By elaborating on the various facets of the administrative framework, the ambassador aimed to underscore the commitment to fostering a robust and collaborative relationship with CityNet.
